Kriplean, Virginia Mary (Marriage - 20 June 1944)

Miss Virginia Mary Kriplean, daughter of Mrs. Eleanor Kriplean, and Gordon John Schjoneman of Marshfield, were united in marriage at St. Mary’s Catholic church Tuesday, June 20th, at 8:30 A.M., Rev. L. J. Lang reading the marriage ceremony. The bride was attended by Mathilda Rankel of Colby as maid of honor and Jane Lukowicz as the bridesmaid. The groom was attended by Richard Hollman of Colby, Wis., and Lloyd Ringquist of Unity, Wis.

The bride was attired in an entrained gown of white brocaded marquisette, beaded tiara and finger-tip net veil edged with lace. Her shower bouquet consisted of pink roses, white carnations and swansonia. For something old she wore a gold pin worn by her maternal grandmother at her wedding fifty years ago. Miss Rankel wore a dress of blue net over taffeta with matching blusher veil. Her wrist corsage consisted of carnations and roses. Miss Lukowicz wore a dress of pink brocaded marquisette with matching blusher veil and her wrist corsage also consisted of carnations and roses.

A wedding breakfast was served the bridal party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wescott and a reception was given at the home of the bride’s mother for 85 guests in the afternoon. The home was nicely decorated in pink, white and blue and a three-tier wedding cake.

The newly married couple left on a trip to Northern Wisconsin and will be at home after June 25th at Colby where the groom is employed in the Colby box factory.

Out of town guests were Miss Inez Tamborino of Milwaukee, Mrs. Ed Goedert and Mrs. Leon Pleus and son of Medford, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Goedert of Mishicott, Miss Mabel Neumeister of St. Paul, Minn., Mrs. M. Schjoneman and Mrs. A. Schjoneman and children of Unity, Mrs. John Schjoneman and Mrs. Robert Kesler of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Tamborino of Antigo, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Tamborino and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Tamborino of Edgar, Mr. and Mrs. A. Schumacher of Fenwood, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Lukowicz and son, Phillip, of Owen and Mrs. Clem Lafond and children of Madison.
